Ballyhoura Spook 2011
Ballyhoura Forest is Offering A Truly Authentic Fun Filled Family Halloween Experience.
Experience thrills and chills in Ballyhoura Forest this Halloween at the third annual ‘Ballyhoura Spook’ on October 30th 2011. The event will take place in the most terrifying atmosphere of the Coillte Ballyhoura Forest, Ardpatrick, Co. Limerick.
Bus Times:
- 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm – 9.00pm leaving and returning from Kilfinnane Town.
- Please note that there will be no bus transfers between 5.30pm and 6.30pm
Event Time:
- Self-Guided trail will be open between 4-7pm
- Please note main event time will be from 5pm to 6.30pm
Activities on the Day:
- Dracula DJ playing familiar Theme Tunes.
- Hook a Frog……but watch out for surprises under the “BLACK MURKY” water.
- Feed the Vampire …… Giant Vampire Head with open mouth and fangs. You have to throw Bloody Balls into his mouth.
- Shoot a Bunny…with your Nerf Gun you have to shoot innocent Bunnies….can you really shoot those beautiful cuddly Bunnies.
- Whack a Rat…..check out your timing and hand to eye coordination to see if you can hit the Rats running down the drainpipe to get away.
- Coconut Shy….can you knock them from their perches….not as easy as it looks.

Hi, I was interested in taking part in the Ballyhoura screamer event again this year but unfortunately the price is too excessive. Would it be possible to do the night section of the event for half the fee?

I see that you were interested in taking part in the Bike Race at Halloween last year. You may be glad to know that the prices for the event have been reduced! If you would like details on the event please see . There will also be the Ballyhoura Spook this year which is going to be bigger and better than pervious years.

Good Morning Ashling. Thank you for your interest in the ‘Ballyhoura Spook 2011′. This year will be bigger and better than any other year. We are currently in the process of updating the system, however, all tickets will all be pre-sold before the day. I will personally email you when tickets go on sale and I will give you all the options for purchasing tickets. I will also be posting additional information on out Facebook website (www.facebook.com/BallyhouraCountry) over the next week or so.

cant wait for this have costumes sorted but wondering what time will the walks be on at because i want to do the night race and is there some were to get changed after the race or do i have to go back to the hotel and also when will the ticket be on sale

Good Afternoon John. Delighted to hear that you are all set for this years’ Spook. Tickets for the family aspect of the Spook are currently on sale from Fun Ireland on 061-320292 or you can email spook@funireland.com and they are priced at €6 per person. For addition information on the biking race click here. This years walk will be self- guided and will open from 4 – 7pm. There is shower and changing facilities at the trailhead and both will be available to bikers on the day. However, if you would like to return to the hotel you are more than welcome to do so. I have also just updated this blog to include all the details of this this years event. I hope this answered all your questions.
